Walking on the beach

Helen wasn't that big of a fan of the beach. But she would do anything to get away from her father, keeping as far away from the water as possible, she walked along the beach, keeping an eye on the Manhattan skyline.

Becca walked to the beach with her new surf board, this might not be California, but it is a beach.

Helen saw a girl walking this way, she looked down letting her long brown hair cover her face, she truly wasn't in the mood to talk. Most people at this camp avoid her anyway, considering she once electrocuted someone by accident, now everyone thinks she's a disaster waiting to happen, which she probably is. Suddenly her foot steeped in a hole in the sand and she went tumbling to the ground. Helen looked up she saw the same girl 5 feet away from her, her face went red with embarrassment.

bic- Becca ran into the water and started to paddle.

Helen stood up and brushed the sand of her shorts, she checked to see if her hair clip was still in her hair. Gods what an embarrasment she thought.

After a bit she care to the shore and saw a girl, "Aye,"

"Hi," Helen muttered, she wondered if the girl had seen her fall, if she did she was being real polite about it.

"You a sumble sufer?"

Helen had no clue what that meant, "I don't know what that means" she said, picking her head up, as to look somewhat dignified.

Helen shook her head 'I don't do water sports." she said

"Well you fell pretty good out there,"

Helen shrugged "I was walking on sand, there's a difference."

Becca rolled her eyes, "I was being sarcastic. I saw you fall, so I made a joke,"

"Whats your name?" Helen asked, looking the girl up and down to trying figure out who her parent is.

"Becca, Becca Strouse,"

Helen gave a small smile "I'm Helen daughter of Zeus. Who's your god parent?" she asked

"Gaea," she said spinning her board.

"Wait, so if Gaea is my great grandmother, that means your my grandmother." Helen thought about that for a moment "Thats weird on so many levels."

Becca shrugged, "The gods didn't care about that, Zues and Hera were brother and sister,"

"I suppose" Helen says "Hera doesn't really like me, more, hates me."

"Well duh, your dad is her hubby,"

"Yeah, setting a flock of rabid peacocks on me is a great way of getting revenge." She said sarcastically.

"To her, Becca said flatly. She set her board on the sand and waxed it.

"So you like to surf?" Helen asked.
